Maintain
Updates, backups, monitoring and ongoing site health.
Ongoing WordPress, Shopify and website support for businesses that need an experienced developer on hand — without another salary.

The problem

The small things quickly add up.
A form stops working. A plugin update breaks a layout. Someone needs a landing page changed. Tracking disappears. Shopify behaves strangely.
And before long, the website becomes another thing your team has to manage.
We take care of the technical side so your team doesn't have to.
From routine maintenance to development work, we look after the parts of your website that usually get ignored until something breaks.
What we do
Updates, backups, monitoring and ongoing site health.
Bugs, forms, layouts, plugin conflicts and unexpected problems.
New features and custom functionality built around your website and business, from small enhancements to bespoke development work.
Performance, Core Web Vitals, accessibility, UX, landing pages and conversion improvements.
Figma, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop designs converted into responsive, production-ready websites. We're proficient across the leading design applications.
Analytics, conversion tracking, APIs, CRM and AI integrations, plus useful automation.
Platforms
WordPress, WooCommerce and Shopify are the platforms we work with most, but they're far from the only ones.
Years of working across different CMSs, ecommerce platforms and custom websites means we can often step into an existing setup without asking you to rebuild everything first.
We also work with Webflow, Squarespace, Wix, Framer and Drupal, alongside React and modern JavaScript frameworks, plus custom PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript websites.
Not sure whether we support your platform? Send us a link and tell us what you need.
More than maintenance
Practical analytics, accessibility and performance expertise, built into the same dependable website support.
Analytics often gets installed once and then forgotten about until somebody discovers the numbers don't add up. We can audit and configure Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager and conversion tracking, making sure the important actions on your website are being measured properly.
Your contact form is getting enquiries. Is Google Analytics actually recording them?
Accessibility problems often hide in otherwise perfectly good websites: poor contrast, missing labels, keyboard traps, confusing heading structures or components that do not work properly with assistive technology.
We can review existing WordPress, Shopify and custom websites against WCAG guidance and fix practical accessibility problems.
A slow website affects users, conversions and visibility in search. We can review your site using Google PageSpeed Insights and Core Web Vitals, identify what's actually slowing it down and make practical website performance improvements.
Our PageSpeed optimisation and website speed optimisation work covers WordPress performance, Shopify performance, images, JavaScript, CSS, caching, fonts and third-party scripts.
Experience
Website support often goes well beyond routine maintenance.
You'll work directly with a developer with more than 20 years of commercial web experience, spanning WordPress, Shopify, ecommerce, analytics, accessibility, performance, custom development, APIs, integrations and automation.
That experience includes independent work and delivery alongside agencies, designers, marketing teams and larger digital departments on established international brands.

How we work
You work directly with the developer.

No account managers. No anonymous support desk. No ticket being passed between three different people.
You'll work directly with Anthony Hawley, an experienced UK developer who has spent more than 20 years building, maintaining and improving websites and digital systems.
That means practical support across WordPress, WooCommerce and Shopify, plus the broader HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and CMS experience needed when your website sits outside the usual platform stack.
We also work with GA4, Google Tag Manager, WCAG, APIs, HubSpot, Cloudflare, n8n and automation when your website needs to connect properly with the rest of the business.
Rekode isn't built around taking on as many clients as possible. We deliberately keep the client list manageable so there's time to understand each website, each business and the people behind it.
That means fewer handovers, less ticket-passing and more continuity. You work with someone who knows your site, remembers the decisions we've made and cares about getting the details right.
“I'd rather do excellent work for fewer businesses than average work for hundreds.”
Client reviews
Five-star feedback from people and teams I've worked with.
Anthony has proved to be an invaluable resource within our web development team over the past 2 years. He is responsible, reliable and does whatever it takes to get the job done. Over the years his advice has been invaluable and his can-do nature has helped expand the team's capabilities within the digital sphere.
There seems to be very little that he is incapable of doing, he comes up with a solution that means even the most complicated requirements can be completed on time and on budget within the time constraints.
I highly recommend Anthony to any company.

WordPress problem? Shopify issue? Checkout not working? Plugin update gone wrong? Analytics numbers suddenly wrong?
Send it over. We'll investigate the problem and get things moving again.
How it works
No portals. No complicated ticketing systems. Just send us what you need.
Email us with whatever needs changing, fixing or looking into. A few lines is usually enough — screenshots and links are always helpful.
We'll take a look and come back with an estimate of how much of your monthly support time the work will use, along with when we can get it done.
Once you're happy, just reply to give us the go-ahead. Nothing gets started unexpectedly and there are no surprise charges.
Most small changes are completed the same day wherever possible. Larger requests are scheduled clearly, and we'll keep you updated if anything changes.
“Simple by design. You email a real person, get a clear answer, approve the work and we get on with it.”
